E.ON in Sweden

E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy group E.ON SE, headquartered in Essen, Germany. The group employs around 70,000 people in 17 countries. In Sweden, approximately 2,100 dedicated employees work across the country. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heating, and smart energy solutions to over one million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward, enabling more people to transition. With our investments and our customers' willingness to contribute, we work to continue electrifying society and meet future energy needs.

About us

At Aktiv Drift, we play a crucial role in ensuring that Sweden's electricity system functions – we ensure that electricity reaches its destination, around the clock, year-round. Together, we are responsible for monitoring, operating, and developing the electricity grid, and our work is a central part of the energy transition. In close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, we work towards a stable, secure, and future-proof electricity grid that meets tomorrow's energy needs.

We are facing an exciting development where more renewable energy, new technological solutions, and increased electrification create new demands and significant opportunities. To meet future requirements, we are now strengthening our team and seeking a Group Manager for Aktiv Drift Regionnät – a leader who wants to develop employees, drive change, and be present where it really happens.

Your role

As the leader of the Aktiv Drift Regionnät group, you will be responsible for leading and developing a dedicated team of 14 employees who together ensure that E.ON's regional grid (30-130 kV) operates around the clock. Together, we monitor the electricity grid to ensure that our customers always have access to electricity, and we have a mission that is vital to society where technology and collaboration go hand in hand.

In this role, you will be close to the operations while also contributing to the long-term development of future energy systems. You will lead a team that makes a significant difference every day, while also having the opportunity to influence how we work, how we develop, and how we continue to drive the energy transition forward.

In your role, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop your team and create an inclusive, safe, and sustainable work environment
  • Distribute work and ensure staffing in a shift-based operation
  • Support your employees in their daily work with monitoring, planned connections, and troubleshooting
  • Drive the development of our working methods, our digital tools, and future operating systems
  • Collaborate broadly within E.ON as well as with external industry players such as larger producers, grid companies, and Svenska Kraftnät
  • Work on continuous improvements to increase availability and quality for our customers
  • Always prioritize safety and HSE as the highest priority
  • Be a central point of contact during major operational disturbances and more complex situations

Who do we hope will become our new leader?

To succeed and thrive in this role, we see that you have experience from a previous leadership role within the energy sector and also from grid or operations organizations. We welcome both those who are already managers and those who want to take their next step in their careers to a formal leadership role. The most important thing is that you enjoy leading people, creating structure in a dynamic everyday life, and have the courage to drive improvements.

For us, it is important what you can contribute through your leadership and personal qualities. As a leader, you are empathetic, attentive, and believe in creating trust and security by being clear and accessible to your team. With your commitment to developing both individuals and teams, you ensure that a structure is created that allows everyone to work effectively and feel supported in their work, while also giving your employees the space to take significant responsibility and grow in their roles. In critical situations such as major disturbances, you act responsibly and methodically while creating a safe culture where feedback, care, and openness are a natural part of everyday life. We hope you enjoy being where the action is, with a strong drive to make a real difference by challenging existing working methods, thinking innovatively, and inspiring your team to collectively drive the operations forward.

What is it like with us?

Your future manager, Johan Sonander, has an inclusive and open leadership style and will give you great trust to find your own approaches and solutions. He places great importance on having fun at work and being attentive to each other, which in turn increases our chances of succeeding in our mission to achieve a more efficient operation and a more sustainable society.

You will be part of the management team for Aktiv Drift, where you, together with Johan and your managerial colleagues, will lead the entire department of about 100 employees. It is a forward-thinking department with a caring culture where there is a strong focus on development. Here, you will have the opportunity to grow, develop, and contribute!

The position is security classified, which means that a security clearance will be conducted before employment.

Welcome with your application today, but no later than February 17th!
